Covid-19: Update 6th April 2022

05/04/2022

Good afternoon Stanley Avenue Whānau,

I wish to inform you that we have three new positive confirmed cases to report today. One case is from Room 9 and the other two cases are from Room 7. The Room 9 case was last at school on Friday 1st April. One Room 7 case was last at school on Tuesday 29th March and the other case on Friday 1st April.

A reminder if you test positive you must isolate for 7 days. Household contacts will need to isolate with you for 7 days.

Your 7 days starts from either the day:

  • your symptoms started
  • you received a positive test result (if you do not have any symptoms).

This is called Day 0.

If someone in your house tests positive, they will need to restart their 7 days. The rest of your house can still end their isolation when you do.

If you are symptom free at the end of your 7 days you can return to school/ place of work. A negative test is now not required. (As stated by the Ministry of Health)

It is incredibly important that you communicate any positive household cases with the school, of which we will take a confidential approach. Remember: If a Stanley Avenue child or one of their household, has tested positive… Ring the school immediately: 07 8848479 or after hours: 021 1381983.

Please note the Community Testing and RATs collection site is located at:
