Covid-19: Update 6th March 2022

Good evening Stanley Avenue Whānau,

I would like to say a huge thank you to the families that have got in touch over the weekend regarding their children’s status. This has helped our planning, reporting and community communication.

I wish to send my thoughts to all of our school families. I know it’s not easy at the moment, but hang in there and stay strong.

Since yesterday’s (Saturday) correspondence I wish to inform you of 4 new confirmed positive cases at Stanley Avenue School. There is one new case each in Rooms 3,4,5 and 7. All students are now at home self- isolating. Due to the changes with regard to close contacts, unless students are household contacts of a positive covid case they are not required to self isolate. However, it’s vitally important to not send your children to

school if they are displaying any symptoms and get them tested straight away.

It is incredibly important that you communicate any positive household
cases with the school, of which we will take a confidential approach. Remember: If a Stanley Avenue child or one of their household, has tested positive… Ring the school immediately: 07 8848479 or after hours: 021 1381983.

Please note the Community Testing and RATs collection site is located at: Spur Street Car Park, Te Aroha
9.30- 11.30 am
Seven days a week.

Thank you for your support and cooperation, Kia Kaha!
